...so close to the dreams of millions of guys…so close to Millions of Dollars, so close to… wait what was that superstars name again of the “New York Knicks”, sorry I forgot ☺, so close to….
Fast Food, ordering service, commercials & all other “buy me” things, because only with those things you feel like a part of the team…
I’m not being sarcastic, I’m just trying to understand, what is really behind that dream:
The dream of the NBA
…what happened to those players from a century ago when guys like Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson and the one and only Michael Jordan had a larger than life aura around them which you could even sense on screen watching them from millions of miles away…
or is it the prestige, the money, the cars …"MTV cribs" ☺, which are so “touching” for young guys…
I really don’t know, what I saw, it was a bunch of guys running around without even giving a crap that the little boy next to them just paid 500 Dollars for a ticket, cursing, pointing fingers at their cousin after making a “Lay up” (which was by the way an open one ☺)…and just acting like they own the world
…maybe I’m so frustrated about it, because it just happened that two days ago, was the last day of “Copa del Rey” which is the Spanish cup played ever year in the ACB (Spanish league) and counts as one of the best tournaments in Europe
…maybe I’m frustrated that what they show us there is so much more than basketball, it shows passion, it shows the togetherness and healthy competition… and of course it shows the next “Superstars” which will make their way into the NBA…
So what I’m trying to say:
…. maybe, the dream u are dreaming is so much closer to your home then u would ever have ever imagined….
"If I discover within myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world"
